Sr. Technical Applications Product Manager We are seeking experienced software Product Managers with an engineering mindset and functional domain expertise in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Product Lifecycle Management or Quality/Reliability. This role is a blend of technical and functional product management and requires you to thoroughly understand the architecture and technology behind our product solutions. In this role, you will be tasked with making a large and lasting impact to SpaceX software systems as a whole and contribute to the future of human life on Mars. To be successful in this role, you must be motivated, self-starting individual who is not afraid to bring forth daring, creative ideas and continuously challenge yourself and others around you. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide functional domain expertise in one or more of the following functional areas: Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality/Reliability Analyze and break down the problem and potential solutions in order to evaluate outcome to the entire organization Down-select and prioritize complex multi-layer cross-functional solutions to ensure the problem statements with the most impactful outcomes are selected for execution Work with the business stakeholders across SpaceX to obtain commitments on business process changes and org readiness required to fully adopt the delivered solutions Formulate product strategy, vision, and roadmaps to ensure we are on the quickest and best path for success Work in the squads with engineers and designers to create most impactful and high quality solutions while eliminating unnecessary complexity and reducing operational burden Analyze the outcome, usage, and adoption of delivered solutions to evaluate if the actual impact to the organization is in line with the planned expectations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited university/college in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, or similar technical discipline 5+ years of combined work experience as a developer, business systems analyst or product manager, with at least 2 of those years in an engineering, manufacturing or supply chain domain Hands on software development experience using front end and/or back end coding languages (C#, Python, CSS, HTML, Javascript, Angular, etc.) Experience with SQL PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Strongly prefer 10+ years of product management experience ERP and related systems development or implementation including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Quality Management and Execution Systems (QMS & QES), Supply Chain and/or Financial Systems Demonstrated success defining and launching software products at a high level Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority or structure Deep understanding of object oriented programming and design principles Solid understanding of UI/UX design to provide intuitive applications High level knowledge of application architecture including concepts of authentication, web server, database servers, task servers, firewalls, monitoring systems, etc. Experience with SCRUM/Agile development Experience working in fast paced development environments Proven track record of leading functional groups, defining, documenting, and deploying process change and associated systems capabilities Experience working with a development team creating and maintaining software solutions Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and technical skills with the ability to create original and creative solutions Strong presentation, verbal, and written communications skills Strong focus on continued education and cross-training Experience using and administrating JIRA projects ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
