In a clinical setting, performs a variety of patient service, administrative duties and general office work for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Programs. Responsible for the efficient flow of patients, including orders and referrals, insurance coverage verification, correspondence, maintaining office supplies and other office duties. Required:Word Processing Skills. Knowledge of Spreadsheets and database systems. Understands HMO, managed Care and various coverage options. Strong Communication Skills, both oral and written. Ability to Prioritize work. Knowledge of office machinery (fax, computer, scheduling programs, multi-line phone system). Good organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Patient Services Coordinator I could move into this level within 1-3 years based on demonstrated proficiency. High School Diploma Formal secretarial training program preferred .
